Services Overview

Donald Miller Words, LLC provides certifications, memberships, workshops, software, subscriptions, digital courses, live trainings, and business resources designed to help business owners, marketers, coaches, and organizations grow and scale their businesses (collectively, the “Services”).

These Services may include, but are not limited to:

StoryBrand Certifications
StoryBrand Agency Certification
StoryBrand Workshop
Business Made Simple
Hero on a Mission
Small Business Flight School
StoryBrand Soundbite Strategy
• Any additional products, certifications, memberships, subscriptions, trainings, or services offered by DMW now or in the future.

Access to certain portions of the Services may require registration. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

StoryBrand Guide Certification Cancellation Policy (Initial Enrollment)

If a cancellation request is made within fourteen (14) days of the initial purchase of the StoryBrand Certified Guide Program, a partial refund may be issued.

A non-refundable administrative and onboarding fee of $3,000 USD will be retained, and any remaining balance will be refunded to the original form of payment.

After fourteen (14) days from the date of purchase, no refunds will be issued.

StoryBrand Guide Payment Plan Policy (Year One Commitment)

If enrolled after November 1, 2025:

The StoryBrand Guide Certification may be purchased using financing provided by Klarna, a third-party financial technology company that enables customers to split their purchase into installment payments over time.

By enrolling in StoryBrand Guide Certification through Klarna, the Guide acknowledges and agrees that all payment obligations, including billing, cancellations, and refunds, are governed exclusively by Klarna’s terms and conditions and financing agreement.

StoryBrand does not manage, modify, or have authority over Klarna financing agreements. Accordingly, any questions, disputes, or requests related to payments made through Klarna must be directed to Klarna directly.

If enrolled before November 1, 2025:

The StoryBrand Certified Guide Program may be purchased through a twelve (12) month payment plan consisting of twelve monthly payments beginning on the date of the initial payment.

By enrolling in the payment plan, you agree to the following:

• This is a twelve-month financial commitment, not a month-to-month subscription

• You are responsible for completing all scheduled payments

• Early cancellation of participation does not waive your obligation to complete the full payment plan

You will have access to a payment dashboard where you may:

• Update your payment method

• Pay off your remaining balance early

• Resolve past-due payments

Please ensure you are fully committed before selecting a payment plan. If you have questions, contact us prior to enrolling.

Payment Failures and Late Fees

If enrolled after November 1, 2025:

StoryBrand does not manage, modify, or have authority over Klarna financing agreements. Accordingly, any questions, disputes, or requests related to payments made through Klarna must be directed to Klarna directly.

If enrolled before November 1, 2025:

Unless otherwise stated in a specific product agreement, the following payment failure policy applies to all eligible DMW payment plans, certifications, memberships, and renewal programs.

If a scheduled payment fails, the following process will apply:

First failed attempt:
You will be notified via email. No late fee will be applied. The system will retry payment after 72 hours.

Second failed attempt:
You will be notified via email and a $50 USD late fee will be added. The system will retry payment after 72 hours.

Third failed attempt:
You will be notified via email and an additional $50 USD late fee will be added (total $100 USD in late fees). The system will retry payment after 72 hours.

Fourth failed attempt:
Your access to the applicable certification, membership, subscription, tools, resources, or services associated with the failed payment may be suspended or terminated.

To regain access:

• Any outstanding balance must be paid in full

Additional reactivation fees may apply depending on the product or service purchased

• Accounts terminated due to failed payments may not be eligible for discounted re-entry pricing

One-Time Grace Exception

DMW may, at its sole discretion, grant a one-time grace exception for past-due payments.

If granted:

• Late fees may be waived or a payment deadline extended

• All future payments must be made on time

• Any subsequent failed payments will be subject to the standard late fee and enforcement policies

StoryBrand Guide Renewal Policy

StoryBrand Guide certifications may renew automatically based on your original enrollment date (“Renewal Payment Date”).

DMW reserves the right to adjust pricing for future renewal terms. Any pricing changes will be communicated in advance and will apply only to future billing cycles.

Cancellation During Renewal Period

If you cancel your Guide renewal:

Within the first 30 days after the Renewal Payment Date:

You will be responsible for a fee equal to one month of the renewal term, not to exceed $450 USD (“First Month Renewal Cancellation Fee”).

This fee covers:

• Administrative processing costs

• Access to StoryBrand Guide resources during that period

After the first 30 days:

• No refunds will be issued

• You remain responsible for the full renewal amount

• Any eligible refunds will be issued to the original form of payment

Renewal payment failures remain subject to Section 4 of this Agreement.

StoryBrand Guide Reactivation Policy

If you voluntarily exit the StoryBrand Certified Guide Program in good financial standing, you may be eligible to return at discounted pricing within twenty-four (24) months of your exit date.

Discounted re-entry is not available to Guides whose accounts were terminated due to failed payments.

Agency Certification Policy

Agency Certification is available exclusively to active StoryBrand Certified Guides.

Once Agency Certification training has begun, all payments are non-refundable.

Upon completion of training, Agency Certification will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis unless written notice of cancellation is provided to certified@storybrand.com at least thirty (30) days prior to the next renewal date.

If you wish to reactivate a canceled Agency Certification, you may submit a request to certified@storybrand.com

If you have been inactive in the Agency Certification program for more than twenty-four (24) months, you may be required to complete the training again before being recertified.

StoryBrand Workshop Cancellation Policy

If a StoryBrand Workshop registration is canceled within fourteen (14) days of purchase and the event is more than thirty (30) days away, a full refund will be issued to the original form of payment.

No refunds will be issued within thirty (30) days of the event.

If a cancellation occurs after the refund window has passed, your registration fee is non-refundable, but a Registration Credit may be issued.

Registration Credits may be applied toward:

• Registration for a future StoryBrand Workshop

• Transfer of registration to another attendee (must notify StoryBrand at least seven (7) days prior to the event)

Registration Credits:

• Expire twelve (12) months from the original registration date

• Have no cash value

• Are not eligible for refunds or exchanges after use

Business Made Simple Subscription Policy

When you subscribe to Business Made Simple, you gain access to the platform, including its tools, content, and features (“Subscription”).

Each Subscription is intended for a single user unless otherwise stated.

Your Subscription begins on the date of purchase and will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled.

Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting hello@businessmadesimple.com

• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle

• You will retain access until your billing period ends

• After your billing period ends, access will be terminated

Subscription Refund Policy

All Subscription fees are non-refundable.

No refunds or credits will be provided for:

• Partial billing periods

• Unused time

• Failure to cancel prior to renewal

DMW reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these Terms.

Small Business Flight School Policy

Small Business Flight School provides access to one user per purchase.

Each purchaser has fourteen (14) days from the date of purchase to request a cancellation and refund by emailing hello@businessmadesimple.com

After fourteen (14) days:

• All sales are final

• No refunds or credits will be issued

If your required subscription is canceled, access will remain available until your subscription renewal date.

DM Words also reserves the right to suspend or cancel your account if, in DM Words’ sole and absolute discretion, you are using the account in any way contrary to, or inconsistent with, the obligations of these Terms, Code of Conduct, and/or any laws and regulations.

StoryBrand Soundbite Strategy On-Demand Course Policy
StoryBrand Soundbite Strategy provides immediate access upon purchase.

Each purchaser has seven (7) days from the date of purchase to request a cancellation and refund by emailing hello@storybrand.com

After seven (7) days:

• All sales are final

• No refunds or credits will be issued

You will retain access for as long as the course remains available.

DMW reserves the right to modify, discontinue, suspend, or revoke access to the course at its sole discretion.
